New Gym.....maybe

I've been searching for some way to have a little time to myself. In my last post I wrote about how much I would love some time to exercise but just can't find someone to watch Pey long enough to make it worth my while. I've been talking to people and doing a little research and I think I am going to switch gyms. For $6 more a month I can join Gilboys in Covington and child care comes with it. This weekend, hubby and I are going to check the place out. I'm excited! I so hope that the child care part is clean and child proof and fun. It will give me a chance to work out and her a chance to break away from me alittle bit. I think she is starting to need some interaction with other children. We are together 24 hours a day!! I love that I get the privilage of not putting her in day care but I really need some time to myself. The child care area is going to be the deal breaker for me. If it's nice and kept up, and I feel she will really be watched, then we will join. If it's not, then I'm back at square one. Cross your fingers with me and hope for the best. If this place does not work out, friends and family members may be getting phone calls from my husband asking for help. That means I have left town and did not leave baby instructions.

Hopeful,

short and all over the place

Now that my daughter has turn 1 year, I am going to try and put one of these cute little photo books together that I see on walgreens website all the time. I just got finished uploading all the pictures i have in an account with them. while doing this i realized that i do not have any photos from her first easter, or mothers day. I know I didn't get to take any for easter b/c i was just 12 days out of a c-section and was in to much pain still to be walking around taking pictures. plus, i also had a breast pump stuck to my breast for half the hours in a day which doesn't leave any free hand to snap photo's. Hopefully someone else at these occasions took some photos of my daughters first easter and my first mothers day. I'm on a mission to get these pics and then i will finish my book. My goal is to do one every year.

on another note.....i am trying to get myself motivated again. I was doing so good for so long after i had peyton with keeping the weight i lost off but within the last 4 months i managed to gain it all back. i now have a treadmill at my house. it's been there for 3 weeks and i have used it 5 times. i need to get with it. i would really like to have the time to go to the gym and work out but that never seems to happen. no one can ever watch my daughter long enough for me to have 1 hour a day for myself. one day i think i'm just going to get up, get dressed and leave. let my husband figure it out and do something for myself. i keep threating that.....soon it will happen. i think my breaking point is coming.

Oh where oh where...

To my one follower...sorry I haven't been able to keep up with my blog. You are probably wondering where I've been. Well, I have just been being lazy I guess. Or actually I've been really busy. I am so addicted to facebook that I keep forgetting about blogging. I have been reading yours though and it's very good. It's been two months since my last blog and a lot has happened. To sum it up in just a few words....Peyton had her 1st birthday, got a few more teeth, a little more attitude, is able to walk now, and is growing like a weed. I've been working more, chasing Peyton around and trying not to go insane. My husband has been working both jobs and keeping busy.

ANYWAY.....I haven't been in the greatest mood. I guess I'm in a little bit of a slump. Hopefully Easter will bring my rays of sunshine back. I think I need something to do for myself. I feel like every part of me belongs to someone else. I'm really excited about starting to play volleyball again. I can't wait. It will get me out of the house and give me a little excitement. I'm not sure how it's going to work out with having Peyton there but we will make it work. I am going to try my hardest to start blogging again or maybe I'll just delete it altogether. Since I only have one follower I can just call her and tell her whats going on in my life.

If you're out there reading my blog......let me know so I feel like someone cares.

Hopeful,

Writers Workshop

The Prompts:
1.) Tell us about a lie you told that you later regretted.
2.) Choose a task you'd like someone to complete and write a poem asking them to do it.
3.) Describe a talent you have.
4.) Write a list of ten things on your mind this week.

So, I'm doing this for the first time and already I'm a day late. I am choosing #3. Let me tell you about my talent.

My husband thinks it the grossest thing. I think it is hysterical. For what ever reason I am able to move my toes any way I want. Most people can only move all their toes at the same time in the same motion. I on the other hand can move almost any single toe alone. Don't ask how I realized I have this talent because don't remember. But since I was little I have always been able to do this. I can make the toe next to my big toe wave @ you. I can pinch just about anything with my toes. Hubby calls them monkey feet. If my hands are occupied I can use my toes and feet to pick things up. I turn lights off and on with them. I pick up the socks that fall when I am trying to run dirty clothes to the laundry room. I can point at you with my big toe. I use them to change the channel or turn the volume on the remote control when I polish my nails and don't want to mess them up. When I lay in the tub I use them to turn the water off. ( I assume alot of people can do this one.) They also come in handy when I'm hanging clothes up and I drop the hangers.

Now I'm starting to realize that my daughter shares the same talent with me. I guess I passed it on to her. She is always spreading her toes. When she sits in her high chair she grabs the bottom of the tray with her big toe and she can do the pointing thing as well. I've even seen her grab a hold of her bottle with her feet. What a wierd thing to pass on. I only hope she gets as much use out of it as I do. This talent comes in handy. It's like having four hands.

Until next time.

Six more weeks!!

That stupid little ground hog saw his shadow today, so unfortunately we will have six more weeks of winter. Don't get me wrong, I love the cold weather. The snow day was really fun this year and it made my Peyt's first Christmas even more special. But since Mardi Gras is coming up, I really rather it be a little warmer. It is no fun standing in the freezing cold, catching cheap beads!

Six more weeks of winter puts Peyt's birthday party right at the end of cold season. Which leaves me clueless as to what to do for her birthday. Do I have it at the park outside so the kids can play? Or, Do I have it inside where I will not have enough room for everyone and will have to clean up after. I'll hear any suggestions.

This month is kinda a special one. My great grandmother is turning 92!! Yes, my great grandmother is still alive. Valentine's day is this month. I can't wait to get something cute for Peyt. Mardi Gras is this month. FUN FUN!! and hubby's birthday is this month. I will try to do a little something nice for him this year since I was 9 months pregnant last year for his 30th.

I will try a little harder to blog more this month. I didn't really start the year off too good with only 2 post last month. Maybe I'll try this Writer's Workshop Wednesday thing that some other are doing.

Does my Blog suck??

After reading other peoples blogs and seeing all the followers they have, I am beginning to think MY BLOG SUCKS!!!
I know I don't get to blog all that much. I try, but there is always something else going on. Baby, work, baby, cooking, baby, cleaning, baby, baby, baby, sleep. That's pretty much my day from start to finish. Sometimes I leave the cleaning for hubby but usually it's all me. So I guess I will try to put forth more effort to making my blog better.

A while back I blogged about wanting to have my bed back. My 9 month old (10 months in a few days) had been ending up in my bed everynight since she starting teething. So to start the new year off I decided to do whatever it took to get my daughter to sleep in her own bed. I am proud to say ( and hopefully I'm not speaking to soon) that after about 4 or 5 nights of her crying herself to sleep, she is now spending the entire night in her bed. Of course the first night was the toughest. She SCREAMED for an hour. It was the worst hour of my life. I sat up and bed and cried with her. Hubby just put a pillow over his head and fell asleep. (freaking amazing) The next couple of nights she cried for less and less time. Now we have us a little routine. I feed her, hubby bathes her, they play together while I clean up. I fix her a bottle, read her a story while rocking her in her room, then I tell her I love her and will see her in the morning, kiss her, give her her binky and put her in her bed and cover her up. She cries for only a minute or two and she falls asleep. After about 30 minutes, I go in to check on her, cover her back up and kiss her again. It's been great. Hopefully we can keep this going. All of us are better in the morning for it.
As far as her naps during the day.......we are still working on those. Since I work out of my parents house, she comes with me to work everyday. She absolutely hates to take a nap. She will fall asleep while I rock her and as soon as I put her in the pak n play she is awake again. I tried letting her cry herself to sleep for her naps but that just doesn't work. She will scream all damn day. But, as long as she sleeps in her own bed at night, I'm willing to continue to work on the naps.

Not only is she sleeping in her own bed, she has also cut another tooth. She says "tis" and "dat"which is "this" and "that", she fusses at you and waves her hand in the air like shes italian. (well she is a little italian), and I've started giving her big people food, like mash potatoes, cooked broccoli, greenbeans, mac n cheese, oatmeal, and yogart which she freaking loves. When I feed her yogart she smacks her lips together and makes little "mmm" sounds. Its so cute.

ok so my next blog with be about something other than my child. I promise.
