Writers Workshop

The Prompts:
1.) Tell us about a lie you told that you later regretted.
2.) Choose a task you'd like someone to complete and write a poem asking them to do it.
3.) Describe a talent you have.
4.) Write a list of ten things on your mind this week.

So, I'm doing this for the first time and already I'm a day late. I am choosing #3. Let me tell you about my talent.

My husband thinks it the grossest thing. I think it is hysterical. For what ever reason I am able to move my toes any way I want. Most people can only move all their toes at the same time in the same motion. I on the other hand can move almost any single toe alone. Don't ask how I realized I have this talent because don't remember. But since I was little I have always been able to do this. I can make the toe next to my big toe wave @ you. I can pinch just about anything with my toes. Hubby calls them monkey feet. If my hands are occupied I can use my toes and feet to pick things up. I turn lights off and on with them. I pick up the socks that fall when I am trying to run dirty clothes to the laundry room. I can point at you with my big toe. I use them to change the channel or turn the volume on the remote control when I polish my nails and don't want to mess them up. When I lay in the tub I use them to turn the water off. ( I assume alot of people can do this one.) They also come in handy when I'm hanging clothes up and I drop the hangers.

Now I'm starting to realize that my daughter shares the same talent with me. I guess I passed it on to her. She is always spreading her toes. When she sits in her high chair she grabs the bottom of the tray with her big toe and she can do the pointing thing as well. I've even seen her grab a hold of her bottle with her feet. What a wierd thing to pass on. I only hope she gets as much use out of it as I do. This talent comes in handy. It's like having four hands.

Until next time.

I love that P will be able to pinch B with her feet too!
