After reading other peoples blogs and seeing all the followers they have, I am beginning to think MY BLOG SUCKS!!!
I know I don't get to blog all that much. I try, but there is always something else going on. Baby, work, baby, cooking, baby, cleaning, baby, baby, baby, sleep. That's pretty much my day from start to finish. Sometimes I leave the cleaning for hubby but usually it's all me. So I guess I will try to put forth more effort to making my blog better.
A while back I blogged about wanting to have my bed back. My 9 month old (10 months in a few days) had been ending up in my bed everynight since she starting teething. So to start the new year off I decided to do whatever it took to get my daughter to sleep in her own bed. I am proud to say ( and hopefully I'm not speaking to soon) that after about 4 or 5 nights of her crying herself to sleep, she is now spending the entire night in her bed. Of course the first night was the toughest. She SCREAMED for an hour. It was the worst hour of my life. I sat up and bed and cried with her. Hubby just put a pillow over his head and fell asleep. (freaking amazing) The next couple of nights she cried for less and less time. Now we have us a little routine. I feed her, hubby bathes her, they play together while I clean up. I fix her a bottle, read her a story while rocking her in her room, then I tell her I love her and will see her in the morning, kiss her, give her her binky and put her in her bed and cover her up. She cries for only a minute or two and she falls asleep. After about 30 minutes, I go in to check on her, cover her back up and kiss her again. It's been great. Hopefully we can keep this going. All of us are better in the morning for it.
As far as her naps during the day.......we are still working on those. Since I work out of my parents house, she comes with me to work everyday. She absolutely hates to take a nap. She will fall asleep while I rock her and as soon as I put her in the pak n play she is awake again. I tried letting her cry herself to sleep for her naps but that just doesn't work. She will scream all damn day. But, as long as she sleeps in her own bed at night, I'm willing to continue to work on the naps.
Not only is she sleeping in her own bed, she has also cut another tooth. She says "tis" and "dat"which is "this" and "that", she fusses at you and waves her hand in the air like shes italian. (well she is a little italian), and I've started giving her big people food, like mash potatoes, cooked broccoli, greenbeans, mac n cheese, oatmeal, and yogart which she freaking loves. When I feed her yogart she smacks her lips together and makes little "mmm" sounds. Its so cute.
ok so my next blog with be about something other than my child. I promise.
