P is getting so big so fast. She now has 2 teeth, she is crawling all over, pulls herself up in her pack n play and even tries to stand up. She gets up for like a half second and then falls. I can't believe it. I am so proud of her. She hates to be held like a baby now and tries to push herself out of your arms when you hold her. Now that she knows she can move all she wants to do is go. We bought her a walker but all she does is scoot backwards. She hasn't figured out to take a step forward in it yet. I'm sure thats coming soon. P eats more than the average 7 1/2 month old. Which I must say that while shopping for baby food yesturday, I realise that she eats better than I do. Can you believe they actually have a jar of baby food with Wild Rice and Smoked Alaskan Salmon and don't forget about Whole Wheat Parmasean Pasta? Where was that shit when I was 7 months old? She has started eating meats and everyone said," wait till she gets the meat...she wont like that...you will have to trick her into eating it." NEGATIVE - she loves it. I don't have to mix it with anything or cover it up with fruit. Hell, she even likes her vitamins.
As far as talking, she started saying DaDa, BaBa, NaNa and when she is really tired or hurting I'll get a MaMa, but then all of a sudden she stopped. Now all she likes to do is scream and give the razz. (wonder where she learned that??!!)
Tomorrow will be her first halloween and I can't wait to dress her up in her duck custome and take her trick or treating. She will probably fall asleep before we get to leave since B has to work late. I will take lots of photos and try to post next week
See Ya,

Rented Movies, Sushi & Guns
So, this weekend was pretty uneventful. Friday, I visited for a little while with a friend who recently moved out of town. It was nice to see her. Other than work, that about sums up friday. Saturday after B got off of work we ran a few errands....target, walmart, Sushi!!! We decided to go back to Megumi's for sushi since we hadn't been there in a while and it was so freaking good. I don't know why we stopped going. Maybe cause we never think about driving in that direction. I can't wait to go back. After sushi, we rented movies and headed home. Sunday, back to walmart. We bought bullets to do some target practice with. I shot like shit this time. Not like me. Guess I need to get my A game back. We shot on a friends new property in Folsom. His property is really nice. 5 acres, heavily wooded. Pretty much what we are looking for. After that we just made rounds in Folsom visiting family and back home to watch our other rented movie and then to bed. Not a very exciting weekend but I enjoyed.
This coming weekend for halloween, Peyt is going to be a yellow duck. Grumpy bought her the costume. It's adorable. I'll post pic's next week. We are taking her trick or treating in Lake Ramsey and then she is spending the night with Grumpy & Grandma so B and I can finally do something with our friends. We will head to a few halloween parties and then the Tap Room after that. Hopefully we will have a blast. I have to remember not to get to drunk.....I have to get my flu shot saturday morning.

Hangin Tough
So my saturday girls day & night was a blast. First, I headed to the dreaded westbank to pick up my friend Amy. I was in culture shock. That place has changed so much since I lived there. Thank god I left. Then, we headed to check in at our hotel, which was a block off of Bourbon St. We walked a little while to check out the scenery and grabbed a bite to eat at the Checkered Parrot, a nice little sport bar and grill connected to our hotel. After that we went back to do all of our primping for the concert. Before the concert started we hung around inside the arena drinking a few beers, checking out the sites.....and boy where there some sites to see. Grown women decided to dress like they did 15-20 years ago when the NKOTB were first out. Women were walking around in tight leggings, long tshirts, tight rolled jeans, pumps, crimmped hair, pony tails pulled to the side......it was totally amazing. Why do I not remember dressing like that back then??!! Maybe I was too cool! LOL
Anyway, the concert was a freaking blast. Those songs brought back so many memories. I can remember recording their songs from the radio, and playing a few seconds of it at a time so I could write all the words down and memorize them. HAHA and I remembered each song that went with a different boy I liked. My ears rang all night long from all the screaming that was going on. (yes, I was screaming too.) They played a few new songs, which seemed pretty good and of course, they saved Hanging Tough for last. We (everyone at the concert) were waving our hands in the air. I thought I heard them say "see ya in june new orleans" so I guess I will be going to another concert next year.
Last, we went to Bourbon St. NOT AT ALL WHAT I EXPECTED!! Lets just say it was very dark that night. Amy & I tried to meet up with a few other friends but never made it. By the time we got to BBC's from our hotel, we grabbed a round and went back to our hotel. Stopping at the Daq. shop for pizza on the way. The Quarter is not at all what it use to be like. If I go back it will be during the day. I will never make a trip at night. I felt soooo unsafe.
All in all it was a great weekend with great friends and great memories.

3 for 1
I'm so glad it's friday! The next 24 hours just won't pass fast enough. I can't wait for my girls night out. Look out Razzoo's here I come. I remember when Bourbon St. was a weekly thing for me. I hadn't a care in the world. 3 for 1 was my favorite phrase. I would spend money like it was nothing. Now I find myself wondering if they still have 3 for 1 and trying to find the cheapest places to get drunk. Does BBC still have happy hour upstairs all night like they use to? Where can we go before the concert to get a little tipsy so we don't have to spend $8/beer in the arena? Maybe I should just bring my own alcohol to the hotel.
It's weird how things change when you get older. I would have never thought this hard about going out before. I also find myself a little scared. Will we be ok walking from our hotel to Bourbon and back? These thoughts never crossed my mind before. I would jump in my car and go. What the hell is wrong with me? Have I become a chicken since I became a mother?
I am determined to have a good time. I haven't done this in sooooooooo long. I get to see friends I haven't seen in.....well, since my baby shower, and some since my wedding. I think I just need to have a few drinks when I get there and all my worries will be gone. I will be able to let loose and have a great time.

Where to Start
I've never done this before, so I'm not sure where to start. I have been really enjoying others blogs so I've decided to be a big girl and start my own. I really feel I have a lot going on and sometimes it would just be easier to get it all off my chest. (I also started for the extra shells for hatchlings. I'm addicted.)
I'm still trying to figure this blog stuff out, so I'm sure I'll get better as I go. I hope anyone reading will enjoy my life.
I just settled into my second year of marriage, which is going great. A little crazy sometimes but anyone who knows my husband would understand. My life revolves around my 7 month old daughter. (is that healthy?) I never imagined being a mother would feel this good. Since becoming a mother, I see my own mother totally different. She is my hero.
I am attending my first girls night out this saturday since becoming pregnant 16 months ago so I'm sure I will have some fun and interesting things to blog about soon. A few friends and I are going to the NKOTB concert (yeah i know, i'm a geek) and then Bourbon St. here we come. I can't wait!
Peace!
